Australian International School (Secondary)

Established in 1995, Australian International School was initially set up with 25 students to cater to the needs of parents looking for an Australian style education for their kids. The school has expanded since, and now has a total of 1140 students from Reception to Year 12 alongside 92 teaching staff. It is estimated that around 72% of these students are Australian or New Zealand passport holders, the rest come from over 27 different countries.

While the primary section follows an Australian curriculum, secondary school students are given the choice between preparing for the Higher School Certificate and the International Baccalaureate. Aside from these, the school offers a variety of support programs for students with learning difficulties. AIS is a through school, offering classes from Reception to graduation and awarding graduating students with a diploma from the New South Wales Board of Studies or an IB Diploma.
